Hapag-Lloyd Adds New Fitness Program for Europa 2 Cruises

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is rolling out a new fitness program on six select Europa 2 sailings.

Called IN2BALANCE, the new program features coaches and trainers sailing with the ship.

Experts include Jonathan Hippensteel, an American personal trainer, fitness coach and Ironman finisher; Patrick Broome, yoga trainer for the German national football team; Holger Stromberg, chef for the national team; and professional boxers Regina Halmich and Sven Ottke.

The program will also feature yoga, urn-out prevention, t’ai chi, shiatsu and interval training, said Hapag-Lloyd, in a prepared statement.

The first IN2BALANCE program will take place on a cruise from Hong Kong to Singapore in March 2017.

Other experts who will be designing programs for future IN2BALANCE cruises include DJ Raphael Marionneau, who will offer yoga sessions set to live music and Katrin Täubig of Healing Home Design, who will run courses on interior design and furnishing according to feng shui. Qualified sports coach Markus Roßmann will also offer workshops with fasciae training and the “Fascial Walk”, his self-developed and highly-effective walking method.
