P&O Oceana to Become Live Stage for News Year’s Eve Broadcast

P&O Cruises will host a live BBC Radio 2 outside broadcast on Oceana in Madeira on New Year’s Eve with a performance from Dutch jazz singer Caro Emerald.

The artist will be playing two sets of songs in a first-ever live BBC performance on board a P&O ship, according to a statement.

Caro Emerald will be introduced by presenter Ana Matronic who will be broadcasting live on Radio 2 from 11pm.

P&O Cruises senior vice president Paul Ludlow said the event would be a night to remember and appeal to everyone onboard and tuning in.

“This is a fantastic event and we’re very excited for this broadcast on Oceana,” he said.

“The mix of entertainment we have on the night means that there is something for everyone.”
