One of the niche ports on the St. Lawrence, Baie-Comeau said in a prepared statement that the 2016 cruise season amounted to 10 calls with the biggest ship being the Crystal Serenity.
The season ran from May 25 to October 19, with 7,070 cruise passengers and crew reported.
Of the 10 calls, there were four ships including the Pearl Mist, Seabourn Quest, Amadea and Serenity. It was the inaugural call for Phoenix Reisen’s Amadea.
The biggest day was on September 15, marking the first time the port handled two ships at the same time.
Over the course of the season passenger demographics were as follows: U.S. 73%, Germany 10%, Canada 4% and UK 3%.
