Fathom Ceasing Operations by June 2017

Fathom is ceasing operation by June 2017, according to Carnival Corporation spokesman Roger Frizzell, who was quoted in various media outlets.

He could not be reached for comment at press time and no official statement was available from Carnival or Fathom.

The so-called social impact brand Fathom only launched operations last April with the former Adonia of P&O Cruises offering alternating sailings to the Dominican Republic and Cuba. The Adonia will head back to service under P&O.

The brand, however, will remain, offering social impact shore excursions to other Carnival Corp. brands.
