Gaspe to Welcome QM2 on October 7

The Canadian Port of Gaspe, on the St. Lawrence, will mark a major milestone later this year when the Queen Mary 2 from Cunard Line makes its inaugural visit on October 7.

“It’s an iconic ship and we want to welcome it with a big party, mixing the town and the passengers,” said Stephane Sainte-Croix, port security officer and executive director of Escale Gaspesie.

Other key calls for the year for the Quebec port include Princess and Silversea ships.

In addition a new smartphone app for tour passengers displays information in German, French and English.
