Dream Cruises announced at a trade roadshow that guests onboard Genting Dream will be able to experience ‘China’s Got Talent’ aboard.
The Dream Experience will also be the first ‘China’s Got Talent’ show at sea.
Thatcher Brown. President of Dream Cruises took part in the unveiling ceremony with Vivian Yin, CEO of FremantleMedia China and Michael McKay, President of activeTV. FremantleMedia with British entertainment company SYCO own the “Got Talent” rights around the world, while activeTV are the Emmy Award-winning producers who are responsible for producing the show with the experienced Entertainment team at Dream Cruises.
The ‘China’s Got Talent’ – The Dream Experience will be a 45 minute theatrical representation of the worldwide hit TV series held in the Zodiac Theatre, the cruise ship’s 999 seat state-of-the-art venue. An energetic, booming opening montage, complete with the same lighting, set design and theme music as the main China’s Got Talent show, will set the scene.
Casting for the performers will shortly take place throughout China, tapping into Genting Hong Kong’s vast experience in booking hundreds of acts for their cruise ships and entertainment venues around the world.
“I am delighted that our guests will have the opportunity to get up close and personal to the performers in the show. I know the stage will be full of searing performances, tears and drama – and guests will be part of the action by voting for their favourite performer,” said Brown.
“FremantleMedia is delighted to seal the entertainment collaboration with Dream Cruises. Both brands aim at providing enthralling entertainment and inspirational experiences to our audiences,” said Yin. “As one the biggest entertainment content creators and distributors in scripted entertainment shows, FremantleMedia is excited that our top tier intellectual property – the ‘Got Talent’ series is part of this amazing journey at sea, which inspires us to serve our audience better with an upgraded experience..”
