American Cruise Lines launched its newest ship, American Constellation, on Saturday at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury, Maryland.
Immediately after being launched into Wicomico River, tugboats maneuvered the cruise ship into Chesapeake Shipbuilding’s East Outfitting Basin where the upper decks will be added and outfitting will be completed, according to a statement.
“The launching of American Constellation could not have gone any better. The team at Chesapeake Shipbuilding has done a fantastic job realizing our vision for this new cruise ship,” said Timothy Beebe, Vice President of American Cruise Lines. “We are thrilled that the construction of American Constellation continues to be well ahead of schedule.”
