Costa Cruises has added dedicated areas for Peppa Pig onboard the Diadema, targeted toward children.
Created in collaboration with Leolandia amusement park, which since 2015 has hosted permanent themed attraction Il Mondo di Peppa Pig (The World of Peppa Pig), and Entertainment One (eOne), the new Peppa Pig themed layout will be completed across nine other ships in the Costa fleet this summer.
“The new areas dedicated to Peppa Pig will delight our little guests, making their vacation truly unique and special. This cruise innovation can only be found on board Costa ships and, thanks to collaborative efforts with Leolandia and eOne, we have accurately recreated the cartoon series environments,” said Giuseppe Carino vice president of guest experience and onboard revenue.
“Creating dreams is in Leolandia’s DNA”, stated Massimiliano Freddi, the park’s V.P. of Strategic Development. “It’s an honour to have been chosen by eOne and Costa Cruises to develop the new Peppa areas on the ships. This will allow kids and their families to experience in advance all the magic of the world of Peppa Pig in Leolandia, to make their vacation on board even more unforgettable.”
The Peppa Pig area will differ from ship to ship, said Costa. On the Diadema, it will be in the children’s Squok Club, decorated to recreate the instantly recognizable environment of Peppa’s stories, with hills of green grass, houses, puddles, trees, balloons, Peppa, her little brother George and all their friends
The children’s pool has been completely redesigned based on the pirates theme. Children can play with Peppa and her little brother George in Grandpa Pig’s boat, on a treasure island, with a lighthouse and palm trees.
There are also interactive experiences, creative games and photo opportunities, according to Costa.
