Carnival Vista Makes Maiden Call to Port of Piraeus

The Port of Piraeus has welcomed the new Carnival Vista which made its inaugural call this week. The port’s general manager, Stavros Hatzakos, personally welcomed the new ship and exchanged gifts with captain Rocco Lubrano in a formal ceremony.

The port has announced a number of improvements for cruise ships, including new indoor passenger waiting areas with 1,000 seats and air conditioning, and new check-in points. As well there is a new special waiting room for ship’s crew and additional posts for passenger screening and X-Rays.
