According to the 2016-2017 Cruise Industry News Annual Report, passenger capacity in the Asia-Pacific market will be up 39 percent year-over-year, and eclipsing the 3 million passenger mark for the first time.
Led by Royal Caribbean, Costa and Star Cruises, who all have footholds in China, if capacity continues growing, Asia could become the number two cruise market to the Caribbean as soon as 2017.
