Captain Corrado Iaconis of the MSC Orchestra received a formal “thank you” by the Mayor of Pointe a Pitre, Jacques Bangou, in Guadeloupe on Jan. 17, for the crew’s presentation of Christmas gifts to 200 children in local schools on Dec. 20.
Also present at the ceremony were the shipping agent, Romaric Rosier, Sandsra Enjaric, in charge of tourism for Pointe a Pitre, and Gerard Petrelluzzi of Petrelluzzi Shipping, who organized the event.
