Grand Bahama Shipyard reported a strong year of cruise ship business in a prepared statement.
The Shipyard said the year opened “filled to capacity,” with work including the Celebrity Silhouette, Freedom of the Seas and Majesty of the Seas.
In the second quarter the yard saw visits from a number of Carnival Cruise Line and Holland America Line vessels, in addition to drydocks from Disney, Princess and Norwegian
The Disney Dream spent 21 days in the yard’s second drydock in September. Work included a new sea chest system installation and five new thrusters.
In addition the Celebrity Infinity drydocked in October for 15 days, with work including a scrubber installation, new laundry equipment and more.
