Ponant could soon have a new owner, according to Bloomberg.
The Pinault family, which is most famous for being behind the retail company Kering (French luxury goods and lifestyle brands), is said to be in talks to buy the French cruise line through a holding company – Artemis S.A.
Bridgepoint, a private-equity company, acquired Ponant from CMA CGM three years ago, and helped fund the building of two additional Boreal-class ships.
