Havre-Saint-Pierre welcomed cruise passenger number 10,000 in September, with the milestone guest walking off the Silver Whisper.
The port moves from a five-ship season in 2014 to seven ships in 2015, according to Odessa Thériault, executive director.
“We are slowly but surely increasing,” she said. “And that’s why we are working regarding ISPS code compliance to be able to legally handle more than 10 ships in the future with a new security plan.”
