After an incident with the Bahamas Celebration in October, Celebration Cruise Lines seems set to rebound, and perhaps under a new company name, according to a report in the Freeport News.

The report, quoting Prime Minister Perry G. Christie, said the company will re-launch service in early 2015 under a new brand, and with a new ship – which is widely believed to be the former Costa Celebration.

“The new Grand Celebration replacement ship comes with 50 percent more capacity and projects approximately 280,000 year-round passengers with not less than 100,000 electing to purchase a two or more night stay in Grand Bahama, with the cruise boosting room nights (from) just under 50,000 in 2014 to 125,000 minimum in 2015,” said the minister.
