Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services has announced that Laura Vlad, previously Regional Director Asia, has taken the new role of Director Worldwide Product Development Shore Excursions. Isaac Vidales, Regional Operations Manager Asia, will assume the role of Acting Regional Director Asia on an interim basis until a Regional Director Asia is appointed.
As Director Worldwide Product Development Shore Excursions, Laura will work closely with cruise lines to identify opportunities to enhance guests’ shoreside experience, as well as ensuring product innovation and consistency across all Intercruises regions. Laura has worked in the cruise industry since 2001, first in different onboard roles with various cruise lines, before joining Intercruises in 2009 as Regional Director Asia, a role in which she led the Intercruises business across thirteen Asian destinations.
Isaac will lead Intercruises Asia, working closely with Carmen Morosan, Regional Product Development Manager Asia and Lawrence Pakianathan, Regional Destination Development Manager Asia. Isaac has been in the role of Regional Operations Manager Asia since 2012 and has worked for Intercruises since 2003. He previously held the role of Operations Manager Mediterranean, responsible for operations in fourteen countries, at more than 100 ports. Prior to this, Isaac was Intercruises Operations Manager Santo Domingo and held different operations roles in the Barcelona team.
“The creation of this role reflects Intercruises’ commitment to consistently developing and delivering high quality shore excursions and Laura has the experience, knowledge and determination to lead this area of our business. Replacing Laura is Isaac, one of the longest serving members of the Intercruises team, with a wealth of operations experience that will ensure our business in Asia continues to go from strength to strength,” said Mark Robinson, Intercruises Managing Director.
