Albany Offers Pier Bagpipers

Dawn Princess in Albany, Western AustraliaAlbany Port in Western Australia is generally a transit call on a route between Adelaide and Fremantle, according to the ports Rachael Goetze. Similar to its neighbors in Western Australia, a number of new ships are expected this season highlighted by the Diamond Princess, Crystal Serenity and MSC Orchestra.

On offer, Albany provides a free shuttle bus service to take passengers to and from the central business district.

“This assists local operators who offer a variety of tours to showcase the attractions of the Albany region,” said Goetze.

Each ship is welcome by a bagpiper on the wharf, and with bigger ships, the port helps coordinate market stalls and live music in the central business district.
