Star Cruises has announced changes to its upcoming deployment, with some significant tweaks heading into the 2014/2015 season.
The SuperStar Virgo will be in Hong Kong while the Gemini will sail from Singapore. No programs are set to depart from Sanya at this point.
From Oct 4, 2014, the SuperStar Virgo will replace the existing destination cruise itineraries with the one night South China Sea cruise program, which will depart from Hong Kong daily.
“With the new itinerary, our customers will have more flexibility and opportunities to experience cruising with a short getaway cruise itinerary, a wide array of entertainment choices coupled with luxury accommodation and world-class culinary,” said a statement.
Starting in early November, through the end of March, SuperStar Gemini will introduce new itineraries leaving from Singapore. These include a 4D3N Penang/Langkawi, 4D3N Penang/Port Klang, 3D2N Port Klang, 3D2N Melaka and a 3D2N cruise to nowhere.
The Gemini had previously been scheduled to sail from Sanya, Star did not mention replacing her there.
Passengers with bookings that are affected are asked to contact their travel agent for options.
