As a travel agent, Linda Butler has sent dozens of customers on Holland America Line cruises. Now she will be sending herself on vacatio, she will be taking a Holland America Line cruise every year for the rest of her life.

The travel agent from Virginia won the “Cruise for Life” booking sweepstakes that ran in conjunction with the line’s Above and Beyond promotional program. Butler works as a travel agent for the Virginia Beach branch of AAA Tidewater Virginia.   

As the grand-prize winner, Butler will receive a seven-day cruise for two in a verandah stateroom each year for life. She can choose to take her cruise in Alaska, Europe or the Caribbean on one of Holland America Line’s 15 premium ships.

Under the “Cruise for Life” sweepstakes, all travel sellers who made a deposited booking for a Holland America Line cruise that qualified for the Above and Beyond promotion were automatically entered into the sweepstakes. Butler was among 25,576 travel agents who were entered to win the unprecedented prize.

“Right now I’m still finding it hard to comprehend the enormity of this incredible prize, but I am very excited and already thinking about where I’ll go first,” said Butler. “I know that when I send my clients on a Holland America Line cruise through AAA Tidewater Virginia, they’re going to come back with a lot of praise about their experience. Now I will have something in common with all my clients: We will all cruise Holland America Line for life.”
