FTI’s Berlin Undergoing Refit

FTI Cruises’ Berlin is currently in the shipyard in Chalkida in Greece, where extensive work is being carried out. A substantial part of the work is technical, according to the cruise line, including upgrades and fuel-saving technologies for the main engines.

“In addition, we also invest in renovations that will increase the comfort for our passengers,” said CEO Alexander Gessl. Renovations in the ship’s 206 staterooms include bathrooms and showers. Flat screen TV sets and phones are also being renewed. The onboard shop and hairdressing salon are being upgraded, along with the spa and the Sirocco Lounge with its show stage.

The Berlin returns to service March 29, sailing 12 crises in the Mediterranean, the Black Sea, Atlantic Coast and the North Sea until October. During the summer, there are also several full-ship charters with travel partners in France and Switzerland.
