Bolidt has announced that its decking solutions have been ordered for the new ships of Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International, TUI Cruises and Viking River.

Recent installations include the Norwegian Getaway, which has 17,000 square meters of Bolidt decking in both outdoor and indoor areas, including the company’s Future Teak, a slip resistant material, which is also described as an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional teak.

The Getaway also features Bolideck 525, which is a flexible, allowing various features, such as grass-like putting surfaces for the ship’s mini-golf course.

According to Bolidt, Royal Caribbean will be using Future Teak for stateroom balconies aboard the Quantum class and Bolideck Select Soft throughout public areas.  Select Soft offers sound attenuation qualities and is specified for specific sound requirements such as for areas above staterooms.

Various Bolidt coverings will also be aboard the new Mein Schiff 3, slated to enter service this summer.

In addition are orders for the latest generation of Viking River vessels,
