Tourism Malaysia has launched Visit Malaysia Year (VMY) 2014 with a series of promotional activities to showcase what it calls “Malaysia’s unique wonders, attractions and cultures.”
This will be the fourth VMY with the theme “Celebrating 1Malaysia Truly Asia.”
According to Malaysian sources, the 2014 campaign is expected to attract more than 28 million international visitors and generate RM76 billion in tourism receipts.
Malaysia has recently been receiving accolades for being among the top places to visit, high ranking for shopping and beaches, and for its UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the the city of Malacca, GeorgeTown in Penang, the Mount Mulu National Park in Sarawak, the Kinabalu Park in Sabah and Lenggong Valley in Perak.
Tourism Malaysia promises a packed calendar from the Rainforest World Music Festival, Tropfest, said to the world’s largest short film festival; Hari Raya or the F1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix.
