German TV personality Carmen Nebel hosted for the eighth time the ZDF charity gala The Most Beautiful Christmas Hits.
By the end of last night, the live broadcast had generated more than 2.6 million euro in donations for the Misereor and Bread for the World charities.
Johannes Zurnieden, managing director of Phoenix Travel, donated 1.4 million euro.
He gave 1.0 million euro as in previous years and added a further 400,000 euro as Phoenix Reisen is celebrating its 40th year in 2013.
