MSC Cruises welcomed the MSC Preziosa in style to Brazil as during her maiden call, MSC opened the ship to more than 2,500 guests for a party onboard.

The famous Brazilian artist Xuxa gave a welcome speech and wished the best to the ship, and the party also performances by the children’s choir of the Xuxa Foundation, concerts by Banda Eva and DJs from Energy 97FM.

Included in the program of the special evening was a gala dinner and an outstanding live show in the ship’s theatre, entitled Pandora, inspired by the movie Avatar.

MSC Preziosa will start the 2013/2014 season from Santos offering mini-cruises to the tropical islands of the South East as well as a vast array of 6,7 and 8-night cruises to the North East region of Brazil. She will be joined by 3 other ships – MSC Magnifica, that will also depart from Santos, MSC Orchestra, departing from Rio de Janeiro, and MSC Poesia, that will depart from Buenos Aires in Argentina, giving MSC travellers the unique opportunity to discover the fascinating landscapes and warm cultures of Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.
