Oceania’s Riviera called in Tarragona, Spain, on October 6 with some 1,2000 passengers onboard.
The visit marked the first Oceania call for the Spanish port, with the premium vessel’s passengers being greeted by a “human tower performance” by the Castellers del Serrallo.
The majority of the passengers visited Tarragona – Roman Tarragona, medieval Tarragona and modernist Tarragona – and enjoyed some Mediterranean cuisine, one of the city’s added values, according to the port authority.
The ship was en-route from Cartagena, Spain, and was on its way to Marseille, France.
The Port of Tarragona, together with local entities and business, is striving to boost passenger traffic and position Tarragona as a stopover for Mediterranean cruise ships.
