Costa Victoria to Debut in Singapore after Refit

Costa Cruises will debut the new Costa Victoria on November 11 when she departs from Singapore for her first cruise after an USD 18 million dry-dock upgrade.

Elegant and totally refurbished, Costa Victoria boasts an unmistakable style that marries traditional nautical style with essential design, making this ship a refined and stylish work of art. The “Italy at Sea” is translated in every detail of the upgraded ship, from the exquisite food to the bright colour tone and the tailored service.

The renewed Costa Victoria emerges not only as an even stronger testament to an authentic taste of Italian fashion, but also perfectly tailored for the unique tastes and needs of the Asian market.

“Our investment in Costa Victoria means she is going to offer our valued Asian passengers the absolute finest and most enjoyable cruising holiday, which speaks to our long-term commitment to the Asia market,” said Mr. Buhdy Bok, Senior Vice President Pacific Asia & China of Costa Crociere S.p.A.. “As the first international cruise company to enter the China market in 2006, Costa Cruises is proud of how we’ve developed alongside China and have been able to satisfy the rapidly growing demand for cruise holidays with innovative and high-quality cruising options.”

Costa Victoria first entered the China market in May 2012, it was heralded as Asia’s first fashion cruise and won admirers from China’s eastern coast’s fashion elite for its fantastic array of European designer ware at duty-free prices, according to Costa.

This couture heritage has been reinforced within the new Costa Victoria; the boutique shopping area has enjoyed a deluxe upgrade to ensure those perusing the latest international fashions have the upscale shopping experience they deserve.

The authentic Italian fashion elements have been newly interwoven into every element of the cruise, guaranteeing a refined environment for the guests. Its lounges are decorated and embellished with unique works of art, like the Capriccio Bar, with its inimitable and valuable mosaic signed by Emilio Tadini. Even the carefully chosen colours of the ship’s interior will immediately put passengers into a holiday mode, relaxed and ready to enjoy a superior cruising experience.

The new Costa Victoria has all the trappings of an international fashion cruise of the utmost quality. Almost all the interior of the ship has been re-styled in contemporary European flair with the intricate use of colours, ingredients and texture to illustrate its calling as a Fashion ship on a cat-walk cruise.

The revamp project will be performed at Sembawang Shipyard – Singapore. After the multi-million dollar investment of Costa Victoria, the ship of fashion of ‘Italy at Sea’, has never been better positioned to take Chinese holiday makers on an unforgettable cruise.
