Sun Princess Sailing Cancelled Following Drydock

Princess Cruises has cancelled the first Sun Princess sailing following a two-week drydock, citing a “switchboard malfunction.”

The Sun Princess was set to sail on a two-week cruise from Singapore to Fremantle following a refurbishment, but the voyage was cancelled after an electrical malfunction limited shipboard hotel power.

“Regretfully, we’ve made the decision to cancel the cruise scheduled to depart today in order to make the necessary repairs. The ship will resume service on September 3,” read a statement from the cruise line.

Passengers are getting a full refund and 100% future cruise credit, and the line is covering costs on flights home and incidentals.
