Regent Seven Seas Cruises reported net income of $6.4 million on revenues of $142.8 for the second quarter ended June 30, 2013, compared to net loss of $3.8 million on revenues of $131.5 million for the same period last year.

Regent attributed the increase in revenue to a 5.4 percent increase in capacity due to the Seven Seas Navigator’s drydock during Q2 last year.

The cruise line posted gross revenue per passenger day of $856.75 this year, up from $821.22 last year. The average ticket price per day paid by its passengers was $779.04 this year over $746.70 last year. Onboard spending per passenger day this year was $77.81, compared to $74.52 last yar.

Net revenue per passenger day was $538.16 for Q2 this year, over $511.29 last year. Net ticket revenue was $483.13 and onboard, $55.03, compared to $456.46 and $54.83 last year.

The three-ship fleet sailed at 96.9 percent capacity during Q2 of this year, compared to 98.1 percent last year.
