San Diego Events for Fall Passengers

San Diego has lined up a series of fall happenings, ranging from food and beverage to arts and culture and Oktoberfests

The cruise season starts Sept. 19 with the arrival of Holland America Line’s Zaandam, followed by the Celebrity Millennium and Solstice on Sept. 22, the Grand Princess on Sept. 30, and runs through May 2014.

Fall events include the San Diego Beer Week, highlighting regional craft breweries, Nov. 2 -10 and the 10th annual Wine & Food Festival, Nov. 20 – 24. An International Film Festival returns Oct. 2 – 6 with Q&A sessions with directors, workshops, panel discussions, guest appearances by artists and more.

Art San Diego 2013 takes place from Nov. 7 -10 featuring paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints and photographs from more than 60 galleries in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Latin America and Asia.

Visitors can explore the Mexican tradition of Day of the Dead Nov. 1 – 2 in the Old Town in a community-wide celebration.

Oktoberfest events take place both in September and October; Halloween celebrations at Seaworld and Legoland are also on the program, in addition to the Nightmare on Normal Street in San Diego’s Hillcrest community.
