The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has given approval to Royal Caribbean Cruises to redevelop its Cape Liberty Cruise Port facility to accommodate the new Quantum of the Seas in 2014.
Royal Caribbean will develop a new terminal and parking structure on the site.
Funding is coming from Royal Caribbean in conjunction with the city of Bayonne, which will issue $70 million in bonds.
Construction is set to begin this summer.
