According to local media reports in New York, the Port Authority has advanced a plan that would allow Royal Caribbean Cruises to redevelop and enhance part of Cape Liberty Cruise Port.
The company-run port, in New Jersey, is set to homeport the Quantum of the Seas in late 2014 and the upgrades aim at accommodating the new vessel, which would be the largest ever to call in New York.
The Port Authority is set to vote on the plan later today.
