Serrano Leaves Costa and Iberocruceros

After completing the first phase of the integration of the Costa and Iberocruceros  structures in Spain, Alfredo Serrano, General Manager of Iberocruceros and Costa Cruises in Spain, has decided to leave the Company to undertake other business projects.

With extensive experience in tourism and the cruise industry in Spain, Alfredo Serrano played a strategic role at the Iberostar Group – later Orizonia Corporation – where he successfully served until 2007, when Costa Crociere Group acquired Iberojet Cruceros, thus creating what is known today as Iberocruceros, a cruise company aimed at Spanish consumers.

For the next five years, from 2007 to December 2012, Alfredo Serrano was General Manager of Iberocruceros and a key element in this company’s foundation.  At the beginning of this year, Serrano was entrusted with the first phase of the integration of the Costa Cruises and Iberocruceros operating structures in Spain, a phase that has concluded successfully.

“We would like to thank Alfredo for his dedication over the years, for having built up Iberocruceros to its current position and for all his efforts to position both brands – Costa Cruises and Iberocruceros – as the reference for the cruise industry in Spain,” said Costa Crociere S.p.A. CEO Michael Thamm.
