Hervé Bellaïche has joined Compagnie du Ponant to take up the post of executive vice president of sales, member of the board of directors. He will be responsible for business development worldwide, with a specific focus on United States, Europe and Asia, where the firm has already opened several offices.

Hervé holds a MBA from CDI, and graduated from Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées. He began his career in South Korea constructing the High Speed Rail, then spent ten years with AT Kearny advising on strategy and business development. He joined Carlson Wagonlit Travel in 2006 as Director of Sales for France, and was promoted to Head of Business Development Europe in 2009.

“I am very excited about this move to the luxury cruise sector and particularly to join Compagnie du Ponant, the only French cruise line. We have big ambitions to develop the business, especially outside France and to spread our famous French touch and lifestyle. This also requires some restructuring on our part. Having a mixed profile like mine joining the company, as a business developer with a structural engineering background, will facilitate the transition into this new phase of international expansion and structuring the company,” added Hervé Bellaïche.
