In Guadeloupe, Jocelyn Mirre has been elected as the new chairman of the Grand Port of Guadeloupe, or Guadeloupe Port Caraibes, formerly known as the Port Autonome de Guadeloupe (Port Authority of Guadeloupe). The 66-year old Mirre, who is also vice president of the Guadeloupe regional council, is replacing Gil Themine.
In other news, Jean Michel Penchard was elected vice president of the Grand Port of Guadeloupe. Penchard is also vice president of the Guadeloupe Chamber of Commerce and vice president of the Guadeloupe Tourism Board.
