The French Riviera Cruise Club awarded the 2012 Green Award, based on environmental impact of ships calling in the five French Riviera ports.
The 2012 winner, announced at Cruise Shipping Miami, was Royal Caribbean International with their Liberty of the Seas.
Richard Pruitt, vice president of maritime safety and environmental compliance, was on-hand to receive the award.
“We take great pleasure and pride in being recognized by an organization that shares our passion for environmental protection,” said Pruitt.
