Carnival Glory Drydocking Begins

(photo: Carnival)Carnival Glory began an extensive two-week-long dry dock this past weekend, with workers preparing the Lido and Promenade Decks for the installation of a variety of new Fun Ship 2.0 spaces, including Guy’s Burger Joint, the poolside RedFrog Rum Bar and BlueIguana Tequila Bar, Alchemy Bar, the BlueIguana Cantina, the EA Sports Bar and more. 

The dry dock is taking place at Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport,The Bahamas and will continue through mid-November.

Carnival Glory is the latest ship to receive the line’s extensive Fun Ship 2.0 upgrades which are part of a $500 million ship enhancement initiative being rolled out across the fleet.

Carnival Glory guests can check out the new features when the vessel returns to service Nov. 15 with a special three-day Bahamas cruise followed by the launch of a winter schedule of seven-day eastern and western Caribbean cruises from Miami.
