Allegra Negotiations Continue

Costa Allegra faces an uncertain futureCosta Crociere’s negotiations regarding the sale of Costa Allegra, which suffered a fire earlier this year, are ongoing, according to the Italian company.

“Costa Cruises confirms that negotiations with a Turkish shipowner for the sale of the Costa Allegra are in progress,” said Costa, in a prepared statement to Cruise Industry News. “Costa Cruises is not aware of the  future use of the ship that will be decided by the new owner.”

Meanwhile, an Italian maritime source said the deal for 1969-built-container-ship-turned-cruse-ship has fallen through.
