Sharon Honjiyo has joined Holland America Line as director, marketing communications. She is responsible for overseeing the company’s advertising, e-marketing and collateral materials. Honjiyo will report to Mary Beth Wressell, vice president, marketing communications.
Most recently Honjiyo was employed by Hornall Anderson, the graphic design firm that develops Holland America Line’s brochures and marketing materials.
“Sharon brings a wealth of industry experience and familiarity with the Holland America Line brand that will make her move in-house a seamless transition,” said Wressell. “Her in-depth knowledge of our brand will be a tremendous asset to our team in developing new collateral and evolving our marketing campaigns.”
Honjiyo’s relationship with Holland America Line predates her stint at Hornall Anderson, having been a member for more than 9 years of the senior leadership team at DDB Seattle, which was the premium line’s advertising agency for many years. Prior to that, she worked on Holland America Line business at the company’s direct-marketing agency. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from San Francisco State University.
