Lufthansa Systems Launches dSIRE Guest Service Portal

Lufthansa Systems has unveiled a new guest service portal, dSIRE – digital Smart InteRactive Experience.

It is the travel and hospitality‘s industry’s first fully-integrated platform with interactive guest services and operation-enhancing business intelligence, according to the company.

dSIRE is based on a future-proof architecture and several key components. Using it is easy and seamless, for both guests and staff.

Five intuitive and attractive Unified Guest Interfaces enable guests to interact with staff at any point in the travel cycle, anytime and anywhere from their tablets, mobile devices or television. Its Entertain, Book & Shop, Dine, Concierge, Housekeeping, Socialize and Inform guest modules allow guests to make an inquiry, book a service, shop, select wake-up and room comfort preferences, watch a movie or television program and listen to music.

dSIRE’s fast, high-speed Internet access lets guests easily connect from their television, laptop or mobile devices. Once authenticated, guests can purchase a package, apply coupons, print pages, interface with their email systems, or a corporate VPN. The opportunities for branding, building customer loyalty and generating new revenue streams are significant. dSIRE enables hospitalities to streamline operations, reduce call volumes, and further optimize staff performance through the solution’s Request Track, Board/Schedule, Learning Management System and Entertain staff/crew modules.

“Service is the key in the hospitality industry. dSIRE enables cruise ship operators and hotels to become more competitive by enhancing the overall travel experience,” said Bernd Appel, SVP Industry Solutions at Lufthansa Systems. “It accommodates a wide range of guests’ needs across multiple platforms, while also delivering powerful operational and economic benefits at an attractive total cost of ownership.”

In addition to the Unified Guest Interfaces, Guest Modules and Staff Modules, dSIRE features a Central Intelligence Platform. Reflecting open standards, transparency, scalability and reliability, it serves as the repository for all business intelligence. dSIRE’s Business Intelligence Portal provides information and tools needed to derive the maximum benefits from this leading-edge technology. dSIRE’s Content Management Portal serves as the focal point for managing and administering digital assets, while its web-based Global Device Management tool manages all of the devices across the property and provides security.
