Holland America Promotes Kimmel to Senior Director, HR – Seagoing Personnel

Holland America Line has promoted Todd W. Kimmel to senior director, human resources – seagoing personnel. He is responsible for recruiting, planning, union negotiations, compensation, management and analysis of crew wages, and overseeing human resources policies and procedures for seagoing employees for both Holland America Line and Seabourn.

Kimmel began his career with Holland America Line in 1989 when he managed financial reporting and taxation for the company until 1996. Kimmel then served as the company’s treasurer where he guided the treasury, financial reporting, payroll and the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance functions.  In addition, Kimmel has been responsible for overseeing several key projects, implementing new systems and serving as a primary liaison for Holland America Line’s finance department with Carnival Corporation’s finance and treasury management. He now reports to Brendan Vierra, vice president, human resources.

“Todd’s diverse background and 23-year tenure with Holland America Line, along with his previous experience working with Human Resource for both shore-side and seagoing payroll, make him ideal to assume his new challenges,” said Vierra. “Todd’s skills and drive will be an asset to this vital position in our relationship with our crew.”

Kimmel holds a certificate in the state of Washington as a certified public accountant and is an alumnus of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
