‘Plenty of Big Ships For Sale, Cheap’

Even the best can make mistakes: The current issue of the Economist magazine features an article on Seasteading, which states that cruise ships may be converted to help build floating cities at sea, with permanent living quarters and work space.

The magazine also states that as the cruise industry has overbuilt there are plenty of big, second-hand liners going cheap.

The article goes on to say that cruise ships can be chartered and adapted for $15 million to $50 million, depending on size.

Hopefully, the research for the rest of this article is more realistic and factual, otherwise Seasteading is little more than a dream and a dent in the Economist’s otherwise fine reputation.
