Disney Leaving West Coast for Caribbean?

Disney Wonder berthed in Los AngelesDisney Cruise Line recently cancelled four Mexican Riviera sailings on the Disney Wonder for December 2012. Without explanation for the changes, Disney has yet to announce any alternative itineraries for the ship.

However, multiple port authorities in the Caribbean have an unnamed Disney ship, believed to be the Wonder, booked for berth space from December, 2012 through April, 2013. These same port authorities also have scheduled calls, published, from the Disney Magic, sailing from Galveston, and Disney Fantasy, sailing from Port Canaveral.

Meanwhile, the Dream is deployed on a short three- , four- and five-night program out of Port Canaveral.

Deployment announcements are expected from the cruise line shortly, and questions remain over where the Wonder will homeport, if the ship does redeploy from the West Coast.
