Offering a new variety of cruise ship entertainment, the Queen of Burlesque Dita Von Teese has been confirmed to perform a selection of her routines in the grand theater aboard Holy Ship!, a three-day electronic music cruise, aboard the MSC Poesia, Jan. 6-9, 2012.
According to the promoters, MSO of California, Von Teese will add a new dimension to ship entertainment “featuring the world’s hottest electronic music makers including FATBOY SLIM, BOYS NOIZE, LAIDBACK LUKE, RUSKO, DIPLO, A-TRAK, STEVE AOKI and SKRILLEX.”
The Poesia will sail from Ft. Lauderdale to the Bahamas and a private out-island.
Known globally as the queen of burlesque, Von Teese’s stripteases are legendary exercises in feminine perfection and retro-cinematic style, according to a statement from the promoter. Her on-board performances will coincide with themed parties held in El Teatro, the ship’s grand theater, by the Paris Social Club and Berlin’s Boysnoize Records.
El Teatro is one of four venues aboard the Poesia chosen for this voyage. Holy Ship! recently released the performance schedule for the cruise. Each venue will concurrently host parties with DJs performing until the wee hours over three consecutive days and nights at sea.
The three days will also be marked by many activities and workshops.
