In a time-honored maritime tradition, a ceremony was held aboard the Carnival Breeze on Friday at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, during which a commemorative coin was welded to the ship’s mast to mark a significant construction milestone.
Following the coin ceremony, the dry dock facility was filled with water and the Carnival Breeze was floated out and repositioned to another dock where she will undergo final interior outfitting in preparation for her June 3, 2012 debut.
