Caribbean Shipping Association Meets in Guadeloupe

The Caribbean Shipping Association’s 10th annual conference is being held in Guadeloupe May 15 to 18. Topics on the agenda include discussions of the cruise outlook for the Caribbean.

Speakers include Geoffrey Roach, CEO of Bridgetown Cruise Terminals in Barbados; Paul Hurlston, port director for the Cayman Port Authority; Eleanor Rae, vice president of Cox & Company in St. Lucia;  the minister of tourism for St. Kitts, Ricky Skerritt, who is also chairman of the Caribbean Tourism Organization; and Federico Gonzales, director of deployment and itinerary planning for Royal Caribbean Cruises.

Other topics focus on cargo and transshipments. The general manager of the Guadeloupe Port Authority, Laurent Martens, will talk on sustainable port development.
