A unit of Anschutz Corporation, owned by billionaire Philip Anschutz, has reportedly won the bankruptcy auction for the assets for Ambassadors International, including Windstar Cruises, with a cash offer around $39 million.
The offer was said to come through TAC Cruise LLC, and also includes taking on certain liabilities.
Ambassadors had previously entered into an agreement to sell all of its assets to Whipporwill Associates following its bankruptcy in April.
