Holland America Introduces Spanish-Speaking Hosts and Tours on Ryndam

To fulfill the expectations of its growing Hispanic market, Holland America Line is adding a Spanish-speaking host and Spanish-language guided tours on 12 of ms Ryndam’s fall 2011 Mediterranean cruises sailing roundtrip from Barcelona, Spain.

The hosts will assist Spanish-speaking guests to make arrangements both on board and ashore. Additionally, the popular City Highlights shore excursion in each port will be offered in Spanish.

“As a global company, Holland America Line recognizes the value of offering our guests shore excursions in their native language to some of the world’s most attractive historical and cultural sites,” said Richard Meadows, CTC, executive vice president, marketing, sales and guest programs for Holland America Line. “By offering tours led by Spanish-speaking guides to architectural wonders and iconic ports in the Mediterranean, our guests can be assured of receiving rich, lifetime memories on these unique cruises departing aboard the ms Ryndam.”

During Ryndam’s 2011 Mediterranean voyages, guests can marvel at the genius of Picasso in Barcelona, Spain, tour the 14th-century Franciscan monastery at Dubrovnik, Croatia, or explore the ancient ruins of Pompeii in Naples, Italy.

Voyages aboard ms Ryndam include:

7-Day Spanish Serenade

Departs Oct. 9, 2011. Ports of call include Malaga, Cadiz (Seville) and Ibiza, Spain; Casablanca, Morocco, and scenic cruising through the Strait of Gibraltar.

7-Day Mediterranean Glamour

Departs Oct.16, 2011. Ports of call include Monte Carlo, Monaco; Santa Margherita, Civitavecchia (Rome) and Trapani, Italy, and La Goulette (Tunis), Tunisia.

10-Day Cultural Mosaic

Departs Sept. 8 and Sept. 29, 2011. Ports of call include Messina, Brindisi, Civitavecchia (Rome) and Livorno (Florence/Pisa), Italy; Argostoli, Greece; Kotor, Montenegro, and Marseille (Provence), France.

11-Day Ancient Discoveries

Departs August 28 and Sept. 18, 2011. Ports of call include Trapani, Naples and Cagliari, Italy; Valletta, Malta; Katakolon, Kerkira (Corfu), Greece; Dubrovnik, Croatia, and Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

11-Day Canary Island Explorer

Departs Oct. 23, 2011. Ports of call include Malaga, Santa Cruz (Tenerife) and Cadiz (Seville), Spain; Funchal (Madeira), Portugal; Arrecife, Canary Islands, and Agadir and Casablanca, Morocco.

14-Day Eastern Mediterranean Circle
