The AIDAluna made her inaugural call at Pointe a Pitre Guadeloupe on April 11, 2011. Despite rainy weather, the call was handled perfectly, according to the local sources, and the passengers enjoyed the warmth and friendliness of Gaudeloupe and her people. A commemorative plaque was presented to Captain Hanjo Mueller.
