Savannah Cruise Resolution Passes in State House

The House of Representatives for the state of Georgia has passed a measure aimed at the building of a cruise harbor and facility in Savannah. Currently, Georgia has no cruise-ship infrastructure.

House Resolution 251 says that members of the House “strongly support public and private efforts” in developing Savannah as a cruise port on the East Coast.

According to local reports, the resolution passed 156-1 last week.

City officials added that they had hired consultants to research a public-private partnership to build a cruise berth.

Just last week, Baltimore port officials told Cruise Industry News that they were investigating a public-private partnership for an additional cruise berth.
