Anne Bramman has been named senior vice president/chief financial officer at Miami-based Carnival Cruise Lines. In this capacity, Bramman is responsible for all facets of the company’s financial and accounting functions. In addition, she will also oversee the shoreside human resources department.
Bramman will join Carnival on Dec. 13, reporting to Gerry Cahill, the company’s president and CEO. She replaces Paul Zacharski, the company’s longtime CFO, who is retiring after 28 years at Carnival.
Prior to joining Carnival, Bramman spent six years at Columbus, Ohio-based Limited Brands, Inc., a specialty retailer operating 3,000 stores under the Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, PINK, La Senza and Henri Bendel brands. She began her career at Limited Brands in 2004 as vice president – finance for Victoria’s Secret stores. In 2006, she was promoted to vice president/assistant treasurer – mergers, acquisitions and capital markets for the corporation before assuming the position of senior vice president and chief financial officer for the company’s Henri Bendel brand in 2008.
She previously served as senior vice president – worldwide finance and strategic planning for THQ, a leading publisher of interactive entertainment software, for two years and three years at the corporate offices at Kinko’s, Inc., where she was vice president of corporate development and treasurer. Her other financial experience includes three years each at Atlantic Richfield and Arthur Anderson & Co.
Bramman earned an MBA from the Anderson School of UCLA and graduated magna cum laude with a BBA in accounting from Texas Christian University. She is a certified public accountant.
“Anne brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this position and we are very fortunate to have someone of her caliber oversee this critical function of our business,” said Cahill. “At the same time, we would like to express our gratitude to Paul for his many years of service to Carnival and wish him all the best in his retirement,” he added.
